AICTE & CTE Join Forces to Revolutionize India’s Industry 4.0 Tech Education—Building Future-Ready Talent in AI, ML & Cybersecurity

In a major move to future-proof India’s technical education, the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the Consortium for Technical Education (CTE) have announced a strategic partnership to address the urgent need for advanced skills in Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Cybersecurity. This initiative aligns with India’s AI Mission, driving innovation and entrepreneurship at scale.

At the heart of the collaboration is the establishment of TECHNOVATE Hubs within AICTE’s Indovation Centres, which will connect Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in higher education institutions using a hub-and-spoke model. CoEs will play an instrumental role, empowering colleges—including those in rural and suburban areas—with access to top-tier IT resources, knowledge sharing, and mentorship. This approach is designed to strengthen local start-up ecosystems and boost technical skill development nationwide. The pilot TECHNOVATE Hub will be launched at the AICTE Indovation Center in Jaipur, with plans for further expansion.

TECHNOVATE Hubs will deliver a series of training programs, offering hands-on capacity building, advanced technical training, and exposure to global standards for educators and learners, equipping them to thrive in the digital economy. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), faculty, start-ups, and student innovators will benefit from CTE’s pro-bono support, which leverages both international and domestic experts to provide mentorship, incubation, and guidance in developing prototypes and protecting intellectual property within the Industry 4.0 domain.

Professor T. G. Sitharam, Chairman, AICTE, stated: “This collaboration paves the path for connecting knowledge, labs, and mentorship nationwide so our youth can build tomorrow’s solutions, making India a global leader in tech innovation.” K. A. Alagarsamy, Director, CTE, added, “It enables academia and industry to co-create impactful innovations.” Sairaman Srinivasan, Chief Strategy Officer, CTE, emphasized, “TECHNOVATE delivers global-quality tools and inspiration locally, ensuring every student’s creativity can flourish.”
